DisconnectedA Poem by Joey Martinez
The art of conversations are dying from the supplying distractions of technology.
But I do not blame the advances of our engineering, but the people who are steering towards the direction of disconnection. Unplugging the wire that connects our minds and souls towards another while some try to tether us back to being lovers of each other. Spoken words are being heard but are they being listened? The connection of WiFi is never missing and that’s the only worry in most of these childrens minds instead of connecting with others who can make their time truly valuable. Too many people looking down instead of the eyes. What seems like happiness is truly demise but how we can know if we keep being blinded by the screen? So much beauty continues to be remained unseen. Goodbye Mother Nature and human interaction. The drones of society have gained traction and are taking over. It’s more lucky to find a wire instead of a four leaf clover. © 2018 Joey Martinez |
