Slave

Slave

A Poem by Joey Martinez

You give her the praise of a Goddess who’s nothing but this modest woman of wonder. Here you are, a man of blunders that obtains the love of a roaring thunder.
It’s hard to visualize how you feel when you deal fake emotions to avoid the commotion that follows.
You wear a big heart but proclaims he’s nothing but a hollow man.
Perhaps it’s not love you seek but you demand some affection.
Tired of the false expressions you give on a daily basis.
So you look at this girl with your many faces and begin to fall.
But you’re not falling love, you’re falling into the pain instability.
You need a woman in your life to find some tranquility because you on your own can never condone the irresponsible actions you take to keep this charade of false hope alive.
You want to find a home but you continue to live in a hive.
If you can’t find inner peace then you’ll never fill the crease of your fingers with the woman you praise.
A Goddess she is but why will she fall for a salve?
Change.
