Blue

I actually wrote this at an airport while traveling home from norway.. poetry always makes a day better :)

I´m hiding underwater

To get a different view

the surface is blocking out what I said to you

But even if it was painful

you know that it was true

 

I keep telling myself I´ll never forget this

but what if… I do

The wind and waves would sway

I was drowning in memories

Before the water started pushing them away

I should be going up for air now

And have them all flood back

But what if it´s too late for that?

 

I´m hiding underwater

To find a better world

Light and hollow heart where love´s arrow made its burn

But even if it was painful

You know I didn´t learn

 

I keep telling myself I´ll never forget this

But what if I do

Until everything is gone

And all I see is blue

The title "blue" itself reflecting the piece of "freedom" through words. Short. Simple. And, a very relevant write it is. Enjoyed it!

Sometimes, doing something new makes anew impression on words. Liked the pattern you`ve used in this poem. It`s a bit diff. from your earlier "beautiful" stuffs. Looking good to read and walk with new rhythm.
