Ghost

Do you remember me
Or the person that I used to be?
Do you remember dark winter nights on the road
Even now that my heart has grown old

Or are you seeing a ghost
That you almost wanted
The world and I faded before your eyes
Are you seeing a ghost
A memory that´s haunted
Because you can´t take back goodbyes

Do you remember me
Or the person that I used to be?
Do you remember the carlights through the landscape so black
Can seeing my face take you back?

Or are you just seeing a ghost
That you think you know from somewhere
The confused brokenhearted glare of the past
and a feeling you once knew
Now a ghost you see right through

There´s so much time between us now
Yet so little distance
You are looking a little tense
Like you know an illusion is about to break
It´s strange to see ghosts when you´re awake

Do you remember me
Do you remember who I used to be
and who we were when we held hands in your car
You lost me as you lost the road
and I walked out of your car all cold and white
 Just like the ghost of love that you saw tonight
