I don't want to be afraid

I don't want to let you win

I heard about your cutting blade

and now fear is sinking in

I´ve been telling myself it's all in my mind

I don't need these walls to hide behind

I don't want to be afraid

Fear is your weapon of choice

I spoke aloud when I prayed

Just to believe my own voice

I´m saying God´s words until they become mine

Please do not fear I'm with you for all time

I don't want to be afraid

I'm not, I yell with the youth

But my heart would be betrayed

Because right now it´s not the truth

I´m afraid for my country, I´m afraid for my life

The peace I describe you cut through with your knife

I don't want to be afraid

I won´t show you that I am

These waves of terror that you've made

Won't break the will of man

Even afraid we march with lasting bravery

I have love inside that not even death can steal from me

I don't want to be afraid

and one of these days I won't

I see beauty every day

Even if you don´t

No matter what horrors or weapons you use

Trust me in the end you are going to lose

So true... every one has got one life to be lived so to "beloved" as well.. but hardly the ones admire what goddamn they've just got in their hands. So I believe, you speak the heart very well and addressing that you ain't gon' afraid of things whatever world wanting you to get faced with, because, you damn know, in the end, what all does matter is: One Life .. so either life it with.. in pain or just swing away along its moments (brought by every single day to life), nothing's gon' be stayed at the same place not ev'n the life not at all. Very deep and thoughtful poetry you've come up with! Great job!
