The DreamA Poem by Johnny Sorrowshort poem about the lovely escape a dream can provide
In my dreams, I can fly. My hands brush the clouds as i dance in the sky. No law of physics holds me down, my feet scarcely touch the ground. I move between world's with a simple thought, I see the heavens wonder, it's beauty a flawless gem caught in light.
Oh the joy of this world is almost unparalleled, but it cannot last forever. My senses awaken one at a time. First touch, then hearing, then smell. Finally my eyes crack open to the morning sun. I drag myself from bed and walk to the mirror. My eyes are dark and hazy, stray thoughts of weightlessness flutter through my head. "Well, another day........I can't wait for it to end, so I can dream again" © 2016 Johnny Sorrow |
