PurityA Poem by Jonny The Savage
Purity is the enemy of time. Only in a vacuum can one die of old age and remain innocent. Guilty is what all of us are. Guilty of complacency, guilty of selfish numb ignorance, guilty of being human (I think they call it). But for me it's no excuse; if anything, it's abused in overuse. Quite possibly the least human of human beings. A sad song sung by those left seeing instead of believing. I know I'm not the first, and I pray I'm not the last, to discover the words rarely overheard outside echoes of the past.
