PlutoA Poem by Jonny The Savage
It's almost mystical, the way that human understanding/belief can shift so suddenly. I still recall being ten years old, learning a mnemonic that ended in Pluto. I wonder what it's like to learn about the eight planets and numerous Trans-Neptunian objects. It's so sudden, and at the end of the day, so utterly pointless. One could even still teach and include Pluto as an archetype. Although, I suppose, one could do a lot of things, perhaps even revise history - rub out that poor frozen Pluto.
I wonder how I'll be remembered, when there's no longer breath in my chest. I feel like Pluto more often each day, forlorn and forgotten; only spoken of in jest. © 2015 Jonny The SavageAuthor's Note
