Dandelion Wishes

Teaching my nephew the magic of wishes of dandelions

Night falls, softly, gently
Over the day, cooling the air
And bringing the fairies to dance
With the lightning bugs.

The stars light up
As we run and play;
Stooping, picking a dandelion...

Blow! Make a wish!
As the soft cotton dances
Upon the wind,
Carrying hopes and dreams.

I thought I was the only one who'd ever written a poem about dandelions.
"As the soft cotton dances upon the wind" is wonderfully expressive. I enjoyed reading this very much. I think I'll add my dandelion as a trailer to yours. It's called "Polka Dots and Parachutes."

I've always been fascinated with dandelions and have not been able to quite capture them in poem until recently. And I can definitely check yours out.
