Snow On The First Day of Spring

Just dallying with poetry

I 

Wakening to the first day 

"My, oh my!" I feel my soul say,

Until I look about 

And notice the snow out. 

II 

For the first day of spring, 

What does it bring

Except snow and cold? 

Winter hasn't released a hold. 

III

The snow whirls

As the bloom twirls

And the world turns 

As a warm fire burns.
