Days like theseA Poem by Joe Palmer
It’s days like these when Rome would Fall. Days like this, I don’t care at all. Life just lingers, but death, that calls... But it’s easier just to groan. It’s days like this that grate the soul. I’d let cities burn and empires fall. When time stagnates, and slows to a crawl. It’s quicker just to moan. It’s days like these that take their toll. Life means little, I've forgot my goals. And it’s only Monday! Just to top it all. They say in death we all atone. © 2013 Joe PalmerFeatured Review
