One Minute Left

One Minute Left

A Poem by Kitty

Half an hour left

Until the end of the world,

And here I stand

All alone.

Down below me

There’s nothing but darkness.

Nothing but emptiness.

Nothing.

Fifteen minutes to go

And still nothing has changed.

There are no screams.

No sounds.

Just silence.

One minute left

And I am struggling to breathe,

Struggling to balance,

Starting to fall.

Still there is no sound

As I tumble

Into the dark abyss below.

Ten seconds –

No time to say ‘goodbye’.

No time to say I’m sorry.

No time…

Five, four

Three, two

     One.

A final crimson tear

Traces its way down my cheek

As my world comes to

A dismal end.

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
