This Cut

This cut doesn't mean
What it did before.
It just leaves me
Wanting more.

I am unsatisfied
With one measly cut.
I feel as though
I'm stuck in a rut.

I need more
To stop the pain,
But this lonesome cut
Is all in vain.

Because this cut doesn't do
What it did before -
I now feel nothing,
Where once I lay bleeding on the floor.

Maybe I should cut deeper, more often
Until I live no more.
Because this single cut
Doesn't mean what it did before.
