It�s Been a While

Hello Happiness,

My Long Lost friend.

I haven’t seen or heard from you

In a very long time.

Do you still exist?

Are you still alive?

Where have you been?

I’ve longed for your

Smiling face;

You joyous words;

Your contagious laughter.

I’ve been in the darkness

For too long.

This supposed friend, Sadness,

Has left me to die

In this hole he threw me in –

Left me to rot in my thoughts

Of pain, depression and death.

So, dear friend,

I beg of you,

If you get this letter

Before it’s too late,

Please,

Please, sweet Happiness,

Please save me.

I fear I do not have long…
