Depression Entertwined With Smiles [ACROSTIC]

Depression Entertwined With Smiles [ACROSTIC]

A Poem by Kitty

Deep down in the darkness,
Echoes of voices
Pounce at me, like
Rottweilers springing on unexpecting prey.
Everything here is so dark,
So cold,
So lonely and I don't want to stay
In this place for
One more second -
Not without you.

Even the day has turned into eternal
Night, the sunlight drained out by
The merciless glow of the dark.
Everywhere I look there are
Reminders of what could have been -
The memories of all the past pains
Which could have been present joys.
If only things hadn't gone bad,
Nothing would've stood in my way of happiness.
Except, of course, Him -
Death - the one

With the power to turn everything
Into a black, dismal, haunting
Time.  A hole we cannot climb out of as only
He determines when and what will happen.

Smiling at myself in the
Mirror, I see His face reflecting back.
I know that He wants me, that He
Loves me and we will not
Ever be apart,
Starting tonight...

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
