Someone to Love Me

Someone to Love Me

A Poem by Kitty

Have you ever looked at a pretty girl

And said, “I wish that was me”?

Or seen a hot guy and thought,

“If only him and I could be”?

Maybe if I don’t eat

For a week or so,

I could have a great body

Like hers to show.

And what if I change

Who I am?

Maybe then I’ll have

That hunk as my man.

I could have my face done –

It’ll be a ‘new’ me,

And soon that old, fat, ugly one

Will cease to be.

If only it were that simple

Then I would be loved,

But I think I’d have a better chance

Of the rain turning to blood.

Why do they make it so hard

For someone like me?

I too deserve to be loved,

Can you not see?

All I want is someone

To love who I am,

Someone who won’t judge me

For that for which I stand.

Is it too much to ask

That someone love me?

Am I pathetic for even considering

That I could be pretty?

One day I hope to find him,

Maybe not in this world,

But I’ll find the man

Who will love this hideous girl.

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
