Worth the Wait

Worth the Wait

A Poem by Kitty

Confused
About love.
Confused
About life.
Confident,
But oh so self-conscious.
Intelligent,
But oh so naive.
Beautiful,
Yet deeply scarred.
Young,
Yet aged by the wait,
The wait for the one,
The one who will love you
For who you are,
What you stand for,
For your beauty
That radiates
From within.
And one day he'll come,
He'll take your heart,
Treasure it,
Frame it.
You'll realise
That the wait was worth it
And that Love
Is more than just
An emotion -
It's an eternity
Waiting to engulf you...

Stunning in its beauty, your words awaken something deep inside me and move my heart beyond what is simply visible with my eyes. Thank you!

This poem really makes your character sound confused because you state something that you believe is true then you contradict it with the very next line..you narrated this consistantly throughout the whole piece..
"Is more than just
An emotion -
It's an eternity
Waiting to engulf you... " I love the ending alot...the whole poem uses short sentences but you skillfully use good describing words to pull the poem together..i like that..i enjoyed reading this..

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
