Falling For a Fantasy

Falling For a Fantasy

A Poem by Kitty

I met a guy,

He’s as wonderful as can be.

I am so in love with him

And I think he likes me.

The first time I saw him

I swear we were frozen in time.

I looked deep into his eyes

And he stared deep into mine.

For the longest time

Neither of us said a word.

I felt so light and free

As if I were a bird.

And then came the moment

That I will forever miss –

He leaned over towards me

And planted on my lips, a kiss.

I remember that instant

As though it were today.

If only I could have it once more,

If only there were a way.

But once I had awoken

From my wonderful dream,

I started crying,

Then began to scream.

Where was the man

I had fallen so hard for?

He is the one I want,

The one that I adore.

How could it just have been a dream?

It all felt so real!

How could it just be a fantasy,

All this that I feel?

He was never real?

Now this I cannot believe!

But it seems that I have been

Falling for a fantasy.

Wow!!! I mean, seriously, it's really good.FANTASTIC, to be exact!!
I can easily relate to this as I've had some dreams which were so real and I still can't believe that they were not.The poem's skillfully written. The first five stanzas are my favourite....*nod*
Just that the last line of the 5th stanza, is 'were' supposed to mean 'was'.Just think about it...
I enjoyed reading it....AWESOME!!!

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
