Take This to Your Grave and I'll Take it to Mine

Take This to Your Grave and I'll Take it to Mine

A Poem by Kitty

When we started this,

You said we had to keep it low.

You said we had to ensure

That not one single person knows.

I’ve kept to your request,

Although it has been difficult

But I swear to you,

Not a word, have my lips spilt.

But why do we

Have to run around and hide?

I know I am just your ‘mistress’ –

Your little ‘thing’ on the side,

But I don’t care

If the others at work know.

I have fallen in love with you

And it’s something I want to show.

An office romance –

I guess it was never a good idea.

Having the one you’ve fallen for

Being so distant, but oh so near.

You may be a director,

But I get no financial gain from this!

All I want is to taste

The flavour of your lips.

I want to feel your arms

Wrapped tightly around me.

I want to hold you now,

For everyone to see.

But I have stuck to my promise,

Like you’ve asked me to.

If you swear to take this to your grave,

I’ll take it to mine too.

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
