Death's Around the Corner

Death's Around the Corner

A Poem by Kitty

Walking down the street,

Dragging my legs,

My body weak,

Frail,

I feel my heart aching.

Why did you have to

Put me through such pain?

Why did you have to

Steal my heart?

Why did you have to

Make me believe?

God damn it,

Why did you have to lie so well?

You destroyed my hopes,

My dreams.

All I ever wanted

Was to be loved,

To be worth something,

To be good enough.

But you broke my heart,

Laughed at my needs,

Destroyed any belief I had

That Love actually existed;

Any hope that I

Would ever be worthy

Of any affection at all.

And now my heart is bleeding,

Life slowly seeping out.

Death's around the corner -

I'm counting down the days to go,

Before my heart finally stops

And my life suddenly ceases...

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
