Keep That Piece

Keep That Piece

A Poem by Kitty

I see you walking towards me

In the hallway at school.

But you don't stop, you just walk by -

How could you be so cruel?

I feel my heart crack,

But it did not break.

I have to keep smiling

For my own sake.

I turn to see you

Leaning on her locker.

Then you move in slowly

To kiss her.

This time my heart broke;

It shattered into pieces.

Now seeing you with her,

The pain only increases.

You walk up to me

And hand me back a sliver of my heart.

But you can keep that piece, Dan,

It will remind you of what you tore apart.

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
