A Spare Dime

A Spare Dime

A Poem by Kitty

Oh, Money Fairy

Won’t you come to our aid?

Our pockets are empty

And we are yet to be paid.

I know that money

Doesn’t grow on trees,

But I’m begging you,

Money Fairy, please.

There’s barely enough food

To put on the table.

To pay all our bills

We are not able.

Please help us

With a bit of bread

Just so that

My family can be fed.

We cannot survive on

Just a hug and love.

For my family

That could never be enough.

Please, Money Fairy

I beg of you,

Please will you see

What you could do?

I beg you for

Your help today.

So, Money Fairy,

What do you say?

Ok. So I know this sounds like a little child's poem, but isn't that what most of us become when we're in trouble of some sort - a child? In other words, this poem might suck... :)

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
