My Silent Apology

My Silent Apology

A Poem by Kitty

Tonight I want to tell you

That I’m sorry

For all the wrong I’ve done;

I’m sorry

For all the lies I told;

I’m sorry

For all the promises I broke…

I haven’t been

The greatest of daughters

But you haven’t been

The greatest of parents either.

I have suffered

And you refused to turn and help.

I have bled

And you refused to turn and heal.

I have died

And you refused to try to revive.

So this is my silent apology,

I whisper it in the dead of the night.

Do you hear it?

I’m sorry…

A stunning power in your words and in the emotion that covers it all like a blanket of soft snow. So deeply personal in the appeal and the cry of a daughter to find love once more in the acceptance and embrace of her parents. Sometimes rains come that stir up pain, and sometimes they can come and wash all things to make them new again... Your work is simply beautiful in every line...

Beautiful, painful, and heartfelt.
I hope you gave this to your parents
to read. Perhaps it could help with
some healing.
This is one of your best. Very smooth flow
and awesome choice of words.
I love it.

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
