The Night I Fell

The Night I Fell

A Poem by Kitty

It was a cold,

Dark night,

Just like my heart,

Some would say.

It was bitter,

It was lonely,

It was the night I fell.

I fell slave to darkness,

Fell hard,

With no one around to catch me.

But then he appeared –

My knight in shining armour;

My hero in his wind-whipped cape;

My saviour in his white robe.

He came to me.

He spoke to me.

He held me.

He healed me.

He saved me,

And to him

I am eternally grateful.

He has guided me.

He has comforted me.

He has been there for me,

Since the night I fell…

Such beautiful words. Thank you for writing this wonderful poem. You move my life in profound ways, giving me hope that perhaps I can be like the one you describe every day. Every day... Your life was surely saved because you are worth saving...

So blessed to have you as a friend. Like the rain, you bring life to barren ground. Like the sun, you illuminate the darkness. In your lifetime you will bring life to so many others... Thank you for touching my life so deeply...

Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
