Another Day in Hell Part 3A Poem by KittyDriving home from work last night, I was nearly rammed off the road. There was no apology, No shame that he had showed. He, a taxi driver, His van filled to the max, Stuck up his middle finger, And told me to ‘relax’. How could I relax When he nearly hit my car? The law of this country is fucked up, But THIS has gone too far! He was in the wrong For using the emergency lane. And then, when I don’t let him in I am the one to blame! He stops in the middle of nowhere - There is no concern for others. The rest of us just have to smile When the call themselves our ‘brothers’. And when they drive like morons We just have to look the other way. But happens when they hit us? What can we say? NOTHING! Because the law protects them. Nothing, Because they are so called ‘men’. But should we stop and pick a fight Then the s**t hits the fan, Because you’re not dealing with only the driver, But the thirty passengers in his van. They jump out of the van Armed with guns and knives. If people choose to argue with them They will take their lives. They don’t care about anything But the job and the money. So don’t bat an eye-lash When they speed past you, Honey. Just close your eyes And wish them all away. Who knows, just maybe You’ll be blessed with your wish today. Copyright©JosieWentzel23May2008
