I Want to Come Alive

I’m dying a bit,

More each day,

Feeling things start

To slip away.

 

I wonder why

Things keep going wrong,

Wonder where

My life has gone.

 

I want to come alive,

Be rid of my fears.

I want to come alive,

Wont you wipe away my tears.

 

Life seems harder

With each passing day.

I sometimes wonder

Why I bothered to stay.

 

I want to be everything

Yet I know I’m nothing at all,

And so deeper into this pit

I continue to fall.

 

I want to come alive.

I want to be free.

I want to come alive.

I want to be me.

 

I want to stop

The burning flame,

Want the sadness

To be tamed.

 

I don’t want to feel

This jealousy!

But I guess

That’s just me.

 

I want to come alive,

Leave behind the pain.

I want to come alive,

But I’m drowning in the rain…

And every day I hope that you come alive more and more... It's all I really think about anymore... All I care about anymore... I'm afraid our winter is going to seem so long, but spring will one day come and lift us forever!!!
