Keep Smiling

My attempt at an inspirational poem...

As the sun shines

On a bright new day,

You know that things

Won’t always go your way.

 

But yet you still fight on,

Knowing that there is good to come.

Watching as the sky

Is brightened by the sun.

 

Life is a struggle:

There’s always so much to do,

And only the strong

Will ever make it through.

 

So keep smiling

That beautiful smile.

Let things go crazy

Every once in a while.

 

You’re one of the strong ones,

Never forget that.

One day you’ll be happy

To be able to look back

 

And say, “Wow,

I’ve done a lot with my days”

Smiling as, for now,

The sun’s rays fade away…
