I QUIT

I QUIT

A Poem by Kitty

Yeah, you heard me,

I QUIT!

I’m sick of trying;

I’m sick of lying;

My God, I’m so sick of crying.

I know I allowed you

To push me this far,

But I couldn’t just walk out –

You’d forget about me,

And, yes, I would be nothing;

Nothing but another of your w****s.

I QUIT!

I hate this pain;

I hate this constant rain;

God, I hate these fucken red stains.

But yet I stayed.

I waited;

Hoped;

Loved…

And I was betrayed.

I was tainted;

Dropped;

Shoved.

So, I QUIT!

I now walk out the door.

I hope that I don’t want to come back;

I hope that your face

Won’t haunt my dreams;

Hope that your voice

Won’t ring in my ears through the night.

I want nothing to do with you!

I want out!

So, I reiterate:

I QUIT!

I quit you.

I quit life…

first off: excellent poem. I could tell that this poem was obviously heart-felt. i also felt it was a little blurted, rushed, if that makes any sense. but even so, you pulled off a fantasic ryhme scheme. Though i cannot say that i have felt your exact pain, i do relate, and my heart goes out to you in your darkest days. good luck with the trials ahead of you. Great Job.

I have to agree with Froman. This was a powerfully explicit poem withoout being graphic. I feel your heartache and i feel for you. keep up the good work.

Your pain and anger are so vivid, bleeding from wounds of betrayal and loss. You express your emotions through your writing so well, but it hurts so much to see a good friend suffer like this.
