Dawning of a New Day

This is a collaboration with C. Froman about friendship.

How shores and seas separate
a world of our dreaming lives.

No matter the distance,
a true friendship can still survive.

On winded wings a voice calls,
Singing a song that never ends.

With the gentlest whisper,
The heartache can mend.

With the songs of the sunrise,
We will turn to the east,

 

And on the bright rays of a new day

Our friendship will feast.

 

In deep shades of blue, cloudless skies,
A song of enduring music will arise.

 

A breath of fresh air begins to surround us -

A new day to which we open our eyes.

 

That sun will lift the darkest steely night.
Take a moment; please sit and stay.

 

Be with me through the darkest hours,

And watch as the sadness begins to fade away.

 

Full meadows alive with colored dreams,
See bright butterflies of golden hue.

 

These days are filled with memories;

Yes, this is a friendship so true.
