For Samantha...

I sit and wait

Wondering where she could be.

Is she out there somewhere

Thinking of me?

I long for her smile;

Long for her embrace.

Long for my piece of Heaven,

Found in the innocence of her face.

I lay here, still,

Alone in my bed.

I look around and see

That Love is long dead.

But I know that she’s the one

Who keeps calling me on -

I’m loving my angel instead.

I live my life

Day by day.

I know I’ll find her

Come what may.

Be it on Earth

Or up above,

I know I’ll find

The one I truly love.

I lay here, still,

Alone in my bed.

I look around and see

That Love is long dead.

But I know that she’s the one

Who keeps calling me on -

I’m loving my angel instead.
