Look A Little Deeper
The me you see looks normal , The me you see she beams. To me she just looks foreign, To me she can’t be me. The real me is in there someplace , All wrapped and tightly bound. She kicks she cries she screams, But no one hears a sound. The me you see looks normal, To you I seem carefree, But the me you see is fighting To stop the real me breaking free. The real me starts to panic, What if I’m unable to get free? A Lifetime trapped inside this host That lives and dies to please. The me you see looks normal, All of you she has deceived. © 2020 Jolene |
