Bleeding ThoughtsA Poem by JourneyBluMy experience with Bipolar mania.Bleeding Thoughts
Furiously and feverishly I scribble my thoughts Faster and faster they race; marching across the page I never alter or edit Streams of consciousness in a free-for-all I write well into the night An escape from the mental debates That leave me questioning the validity of my every idea So many truths, some conflicting, written on every page An exercise in immortalizing thoughts that would otherwise expire Proposed in prose and flows Definitions remain flexible and forgivable and unforgettable I try to leave time for review and reflection Though mostly I find flying and fleeting thoughts Demanding the attention of my pen Never enough time to be thinking the same things again Ink is the blood of my thoughts; paper their eternal box I cannot decide if writing releases or enslaves I must think both, because that is what I wrote Beyond that I will save my considerations for a new page As my pen flies and my thoughts race © 2012 JourneyBluReviews
