Wish You Could Have Gone

Wish You Could Have Gone

A Poem by Alex Borst

Ooh wish you could have gone
Wish you could have been there
Ooh wish you could have gone

For the sleepless nights by the fireside
For the setting sun and the rising tide
For a morning stroll down a wooded path
For a jump in the river for an afternoon bath

Ooh wish you could have gone
Wish you could have been there
Ooh wish you could have gone

When the music's playing and the moon is high
When rain is pouring and you can't stay dry
When the cricket choir serenades your ear
When your troubles are far and your friends are near

Ooh wish you could have gone
Wish you could have been there
Ooh wish you could have gone
