Tiki Doldrums

Tiki Doldrums

A Poem by Alex Borst

Woke up on a raft in a motel pool
Booze ran out, I threw a tantrum or two
Punched at the sky 'til it turned black and blue
Manager Greg says "Go back to your room"

Phone keeps ringing, I turn off the sound
World keeps turning, I lie on the ground
I had my turn, but I turned it down
I found myself where I can't be found
