The power we all hold.

All it takes is one smile

to make it worth my while

all it takes is one laugh

to rejoice on your behalf

 

Emotions make this world

the greatest story told

makes it worth being around

to hear a joyful sound

 

All it takes is one cry

to bring tears into my eye

all it takes is one pain

a thing I can't explain

 

Emotions make my mind

wish it was confined

I can't stand being around

to hear that hurtful sound

 

All it takes is one man

who does the best he can

to make peace or use a gun

all it takes is one.

I know you have one extra syllable if you don't say "All it takes" in a certain way, but I couldn't think of an appropriate alternative.

As for myself, the rhyming reminds me of song lyrics, have you ever written some before? It's a pleasant heart-felt poem though, and for what it is, it does it very well.
