Mind-fieldA Poem by Y.F.Tread lightlyI used to walk in open fields with nothing on my mind. I'd skip and hop without a care, naive just like a child.
But then began an awful war, the worst I've ever seen. Inside my head I can't withstand the enemies within.
Each thought is ready to explode beneath my bleeding feet. I tread with care, yet so aware these thoughts I can't defeat.
The sky so dark I can not see, I carry on and cope. Perhaps one day this war would end, my mind would clear, I hope. © 2009 Y.F. |
