Lovely Valentine

Surviving this day relationship-free

Every year on this day
I open my eyes,
and discover that nothing has changed -
I am still all alone,
I am still by myself,
not with anyone somehow engaged.

So first I feel envy,
and then I feel rage
for a world that had me forsaken.
Such pain in my heart
for another year lost,
I cry as my soul becomes shaken.

And then I remember
this day is about
celebration of love of all trends,
when I get the calls
filled with love and much care
from my loving most caring of friends.

Friends are always good. I really liked this. So nice. I thought it would be incredibly sad...but I kept reading. It spoke to me in a way. I think poetry is like drugs....could be a problem at some point...haha.
