Growth?

Just something I wrote in the park the other day.

What is growth?
Such a positive word, and yet, what does it really mean?
Getting bigger? Is bigger really better?
Evolving? Into what? If a man grows a beak, does that make him better?

Nothing in life is constant - there's a lot to learn from experience, but most of the problems we face on a daily basis are something that's completely new to us, and there's not always a right or wrong answer.

So I'll ask again - What is growth?
Change? Is change always good? It isn't, so why is growth such a positive word?

This word originated from nature - trees grow.
Is a bigger tree always better? Sometimes a bigger tree gets sick faster, sometimes it falls down faster, sometimes it's just an obstacle, in the way.

So what is growth really?
Nothing.
