In Between Class

Jamesha
Rectify my amnesia
Bring me to the light with your beautiful blackened skin
Thin and brilliant in the sun
Could you be the one?
Stunned by the random encounter
Subdued by young pulchritude
Astounded that I found her
Introductory subtleties spared
By the Voice Goddess, undeclared
Modest compared to the oddest heir of a Nubian queen
Who sings in the shower
Devour her fruit,
Deflower, yet empower her too
Scour the route
Of the campus courtyard
Find her
Remind her a*s
That I wrote this poem for her in class

Punching above your weight MB - your words could be the winning combination though. I loved the change in tone in this as if you have all your ducks in a row and your poetry is becoming more romanticised in nature. Ever present 'pulchritude' - (your favourite word methinks, good Sir) made me smile since I have read quite a few of your works now.
This is by far my favorite - the last two lines are funny. I enjoyed this. :))
