As the Moon and Stars Fall

I have never been content in the shade of silence

collecting words from dreams that slip through my hands

as the moon and stars fall from the sky…

 

Yet it is this silence

that has me chasing sunbeams on rainy days

gathering thoughts as I would teardrops

no longer staining my cheek

but tucked safely in my pocket

to water the daisies

on a summer day

 

Yes, it is me

painting sentences with rainbows to decorate my eyes

with words of beauty, melodies of hope

to color my days with the whisper of the wind

and breathe through the night

as the moon and stars fall from the sky

Silence is a wonderful reality which can be a place of color and sound, that is of the soul. Our inner beings are such a busy place. To thinks and to create and share the tapestry which is just waiting to come forth. We can weave and share.

The sound of silence is not a rewarding one, but to take in and acknowledge the wonderful sights all around, tuck them away and then be inspired later to write about them is a worthy and uplifting quality!

Beautiful verses, so does this mean you enjoy sounds of the big cities? I am your opposite is seek the quiet, to linger around the white noise of the wind chimes.

I prefer the sound of the ocean, of the seagulls, of the breeze on a warm summer night...I collect my thoughts, write my poetry inspired by the beauty around me, preferring to live and love than sit in the silence of dreams that pass in the night....
