Petals tremble in soft misty hues

        and the rain falls like tears on the roses

                                        once blooming

                                                      in every line

                                                                    of every sweet love poem

        chasing my dreams and flowing from my pen

                                   now etched upon my heart

                                                         …still missing you

                                      and lingering

 

                                    like tears on the roses

The thought of tears on the roses being as the tears shed for a love lost is such a fitting metaphor. I think of the morning dew on a rose and the dew of evening - appearing once again after a day of sunlight as one who has loved is gone as the sunlight. Your thoughts are lovely! The image is delightful, and oh so romantic!

Process and the reality of not denying it's reality; loss is like that. We know what we feel and it simply is. We tremble...sad with tears; "Petals tremble in soft misty hues." Beautiful reality of character and personality within the love once shared. This whole poem was line upon line describing how someone feels when loss knocks on one's door.
