Somewhere beyond a dream

he paints the sky a velvet amethyst

 

sailing above the rocks and sand

above the trembling ocean

 

A breath through my window…bathed in moonlight

 

Whispering…

“Wake my sweet angel”

 

And I awaken,

for his voice is the blue bird song

in a music box of beautiful memories

 

a lullaby

to soothe my soul

the poetry

within two hearts forever intertwined

 

I take this hand that holds my heart

for it is warm and it is strong

and he is unforgettable

 

And for a moment in time

we paint the sky
