Never Apart

In peaceful dreams and sunset scenes

twilight beckons a new day

Through misty skies and velvet sighs

the evening slips away

 

Yet silver stars, shining afar

still linger in your eyes

And with each gaze, a lovely haze

softens the breathless sighs

 

While in this bliss, I reminisce

watching as clouds drift by

I dream of love, gazing above

as rainbows fill my eyes

 

Then beauty blends, with ink and pen

flowing deep as the sea

To softly sway and gently play

the sweetest melody

 

Of treasures found, verses abound

as happiness fills our hearts

Not ever alone, within a poem,

our words will never part
