His love is ever constant

warm in this passing from autumn to winter

long branches bending to the wind

catching me in a kiss

his hair smelling of the summer

his hands hotter than fire

as I lay upon his golden bed

weaving dreams from lilies and roses

 

for he would never let me forget springtime…

 

Her love is ever constant

as the day falls cool to a winter sunset,

soft as the silvery clouds teasing summer

sweet as the dew on slivers of grass

she gathers me in her gentle embrace

like a bouquet of fresh cut irises

                     innocent and glowing

her tender heart filled with dreams and desires

 

she welcomes me in springtime…

 

Though seasons change

                                    love stays

                                       forever constant

This is the stuff that dreams are made of.. I felt each word.. the contrasts that somehow fit so perfectly.. my senses teased as my heart yearns for the beauty and purity of love expressed here.. true love is constant no matter what is happening around it.. this was stunning in its imagery and emotion.. I could smell the heated scent of summer on his hair.. there is nothing like the smell and the feelings it can induce inside you when with the one who resides in your heart, your soul, your mind... this is breathtaking you two.. I absolutely loved every word.. favorites for sure.. romantic, passionate, and such a gentle caress that has my heart vibrating with want..

Never going to forget that time at the altar and the priest (minister of peace in my case) askimg all the things he asks and I had terrible intellectual doubts. Inwardly thinking, "Not really " " Forever?" " What kind of madness is that"? I can't even think from one day to the next, what kind of foollish questions are you throwing at me?

Then I just read this and as soon as I finish I thought " A promise". The descriptions are so imbued in nature that I think they transcend from the outer nature to the nature of the human being. It is there that I can actually find a possibility, as an ideal, as a commitment, to uphold for better and worse that no matter what I will try to live up to what once was a promise, faithfully.

This came out beautifully.
