~ spring is almost here my dear ~

As we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

tender petals blossom, while the snow upon the hills

melts in tiny puddles of sweet dew, as it flows

nestling on the flowers ‘til the meadow gently glows

 

 

Then the leaves begin to flutter high upon the trees

as flecks of golden sunlight dance upon a silky breeze

and the sunbeams wrap around us, whispering your name

floating softly, as the flowers and my heart does the same

 

 

And every single love poem is a sonnet just for two

of the flowers in the springtime and the love I have for you

overflowing with a passion that grows and never stills

as we wander among the lilies and the daffodils

Amazing description of the nature's beauty. I believe poem's with nature or environment as a theme never becomes stale even if you pick up a piece from history. Daffodils and Lilies made your poem more colourful.

simply exquisite! gentle, flowing, glowing moving spring ... just beautiful .. had to read it twice .. and it only got better .. this morning when i took the dog out more than a solitary song was announcing dawn coming ... it rarely fails to seem such a long winter and much anticipated spring .. very much enjoyed your poem
