So Sudden and So Sweet

So Sudden and So Sweet

A Poem by MsJewel

Soft from the night and lovely for the day

I turn to you

as mist would rise towards the dawn

in mornings first glimpse of the sun

You touch me

as sunlight would touch a bed of roses,

so sudden and so sweet

And I am warmed by the beam of light

that could not play without the tenderness of your eyes

the joy of your spirit

I am yours…you are mine…

                                                       soft and lovely

Julie, I watched a show on TV a long time ago that showed, using time-lapse photography, a rose as it began from a bud and then bloomed into full flower; I got the feeling that I was seeing something eerily similar as I read this lovely piece. You mention a 'mist,' while I recall dew drops on the buds as they opened. Such a serene and tranquil vision, love in full bloom. Outstanding imagery in use here. Bravo!! take care...dan

Couldn't want for a better 'morning after' than this. Soft and romantic with a beautiful presentation that enhances the poetry. Love this one, Julie!

I am yours and you are mine our souls softly entwined
as I look into your eye`s ,your smile makes my day
and my night without you my soul would be like a lost bird in flight

not bad for a beach girl
