Clouds of Pink

Clouds of Pink

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

~~~
When evening comes and clouds of pink
like cotton candy dreams
float visions of a softer time
a fantasy it seems
of soft pastels and fragile lace
sweeping the fading sky
as summer heat on cooling wind
breathes the sweetest goodbye
While ocean waves begin to dance
in white upon the shore
I’ll find our spot where wildflowers
the ones that I adore
growing in veils of ivory white
and gently as they sway
I’ll pick a bunch and wrap them up
in a lovely bouquet
Memories of a summer day
that passed with just a blink
and leaving me, when evening comes
dreaming of clouds of pink…
~~~

Cotton Candy Dreams? That's interesting!

Strongly pen'd up. You already know how to value the words by shaping 'em with thoughts.. it's marvelous & perfectly a romantic lullaby belonged to your "Cotton Candy-Dreams" (Just teasing you). Excellent work!

Vivid brush strokes paint your poetry so beautifully so much passion from ones heart a man would have been so lucky to have such a loving woman by their side.

Lovely gentile piece and I could see the evening sky as she watched sunset. The line 'I’ll find our spot where wildflowers' Could that be 'of wildflowers'?

we are often reminded of 'softer times' through the myriad of stimulants upon the senses... a taste, a sound, a scent, a touch, an image... you describe how 'clouds of pink' take you to a better time... it's so long past that it feels like a fantasy and you write it almost like a fairy tale... everything about this is soft and tender, delicate, as delicate as those memories you will cherish forever... beautiful poetry, Julie

Thank you again my friend :) Julie
i particularly enjoy the first verse! ... the clouds of pink and cotton candy is very inspirational ;) your use of enjambment between verses 3 & 4 seems just a bit halting for me .. must come back and read another time or two perhaps :)
your romance and delicate hand is ever present ...
E.

A quite warm piece. Again a great photo.

My thought after reading this- Now that the sunset is gone the night will come...
