Delusion of your Own Making

Nothing but a thing.

Safe? Safe is just a word! It’s not even a reality! Safety is just something that every one of you stupid people make yourself believe in. No one is ever safe. Not in the arms of a man, a mother or anyone else. Safety is just a delusion that you create so that every single one of you can go on with your miserable lives and pretend like everything is ok. But how many times have bombs dropped out of the sky unexpectedly? How many times are does one woman get raped in every minute of every horrible day? How many children are begging for food on the streets? How many people are sleeping on the ground?

 

Safety is a delusion of your own mind.

 

Wake up!

A thought provoking message. As none of us are safe really. The 'are' isn't needed in this line: "How many times are does one woman get raped in every minute of every horrible day?" You could even had losing jobs, raising of taxes, etc to this message. A thought provoking poem. Even though it seems some people don't want to wake up.
