A New Optimism

A fire inside that burns me.

A deep and intense soul.

I don't flaunt it off like a style, you see.

My life is in a dark hole.

I've been taunted and fooled with

And caused so much pain

I made enough tears to hydrate a country

Oh the countless times I've been played...

That is how I used to think! 

Before I became so alive

I found a friend! I sucked the pain in!

And now I've made this life mine.

I smile so much

and I do lots of pranks!!

I act like a fool! 

I break the rules!

The sadness gave me a break!

It is always good to find a good friend that can share in the smiles and be there when you need a pick me up, or to offer a shoulder when the tears need to fall.

This is a wonderful uplifting poem. It's nice to see the positive energy and the smiles that come from the ink.
