With Nostalgia & Love...

This is a poem dedicated to my grandfather, who passed away on August 31st, 2014.

It's only been four days, and I already miss you so much.

The doctors gave you only 6 months.

That was about 7 months ago.

I went home that night and I bawled my eyes out.

And now, you're gone.

So I sit here and think of all the good memories.

Your body will go back to where it came from in two days.

I'm dreading it.

The thought of seeing you in your current state.

But I have to do this.

So when Friday rolls around...

I'll sit there in the crowd,

I'll stay silent, dying inside,

And I'll go home,

And I'll cry. 

I love you.
